A Visa is required for entry by all visitors travelling to Kenya with the exception of nationals of the following countries: The Bahamas Nauru, Barbados, Papua New Guinea,Belize St. Lucia,Botswana, St. Vincent and The Grenadines, Brunei, Darussalam, Samoa,Cyprus, San Marino,Dominica, Seychelles, Ethiopia, Singapore, Eritrea, Sierra Leone, Fiji Islands, Solomon Islands, The Gambia, Swaziland, Grenada, Tanzania, Ghana, Tonga, Jamaica,Trinidad and Tobago, Kiribati, Tuvalu,Lesotho, Uganda, Malawi, Vanuatu, Mauritius, Zambia, Maldives, Zimbabwe, Namibia.
Nationals of the following countries require referred Visas to go to Kenya : Afghanistan,Azerbaijan,Armenia,Cameroon,Iraq,Jordan,Lebanon,Mali,Nigeria ,North Korea ,Senegal ,Somali ,Syria ,Tajikistan & Holders of United Nations Refugee (Conventional) Travel Document (UNCTD)

Referral Visa Requirements The Application, in Triplicate, should include;
Valid Passport/ Travel Document
Copy of the Passport/Travel Document
Visa Application Form, duly completed and signed by the Applicant
Proof of Immigration Status in Sudan
Invitation Letter from the Host or Organisation to be visited in Kenya or Recommendation Letter from the Employer or letter from the Applicant stating the reasons for visiting.
An application fee of US $ 10.
NB:
The applications for referral visa are forwarded to the Immigration Office in Nairobi for approval and the process can take up to six (6) weeks and sometimes longer.
NATIONALS OF ANY OTHER COUNTRY WHICH DOES NOT APPEAR ABOVE MAY OBTAIN VISA ON APPLICATION IN SUDAN AT THE KENYAN EMBASSY IN KHARTOUM OR THE KENYA CONSULATE IN JUBA.
Important
Immunization against Yellow Fever and Cholera are recommended.
Anti-malaria pills are recommended for those visiting tropical regions.
All travellers entering Kenya by road from the Sudan should pass through the gazetted entry points and report immediately to an Immigration Officer
PASSPORTS
Kenya passports are now available for 10 years thereby phasing out renewal after 5 years W.E.F. 1st January 2007.
However, passports already in circulation with 5 years validity shall be renewed as they fall due.
If at any time a passport contains no further space for visas, a new passport must be obtained.
The application together with all the above mentioned documents should be forwarded to the Embassy for onward transmission to the Principal Civil Registrar, Nairobi .
